2024 Local Art in Public Places

Route 66 Arts Alliance is looking for member artists to show their artwork in this upcoming exhibit. There will be spaces for wall art and 3 dimensional work in a covered case. The artwork will NOT be for sale at the exhibit site. An artist’s bio and contact information form will be posted next to the work on exhibit, so interested persons can easily contact you.

Image Requirements for submission (up to 5 images):

  1. images must be .jpeg or .tiff and 300 dpi
  2. images must be no larger than 1200 pixels on its longest dimension
  3. all images must have artists name and title (ex: Jane Doe_title)
  4. short bio of artist and artist’s statement

Application for this exhibit is due May 1,2024. This is a juried show. Arts Alliance Board members are the jurors. Artists will be notified of acceptance by May 31.

Participating artists are required to assist in hanging the show on July 2nd at 9:00 am and help with the “Take down” on August 31st.

All applicants must be Arts Alliance members. The annual membership is $25 and includes the whole family. If you have more than one artist in your family (so fortunate) they all can register with one membership. Everyone is welcome. If needed, scholarships are available for the annual membership.

The Arts Alliance is gathering artists’ digital images for a collection from which to select artists for each show. We will post these images in our online gallery with artist’s permission.

After your application is submitted, send up to 5 digital images of your work (and the scan of the application form if sent by mail) to Route66ArtsAlliance@gmail.com.

    Group 1/ages 5-7, Group 2/ages 8-10, Group 3/ages 11-14.

    Three classes each day for each camper, with breaks and snacks.

    Both afternoons for $25, including supplies and snack.

    2023 Summer Arts Camp

    July 17th – 21st
    Monday – Friday • 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

    Five mornings of age grouped art classes. Ages 5-14
    Three classes each morning for each camper, with breaks and healthy snacks.
    Friday Exhibit and Performance, 1:00 pm. Everyone Welcome!
    All Week for $45, including supplies and snacks.

    Drums Around The World!
    Kevin shares his collection of drums and percussion instruments as well as homemade instruments from recycled materials in this highly interactive session. Learn proper tone and technique with an emphasis on teamwork and creativity in this fun and empowering musical session. • Kevin Kinane

    Summer Clay Play: Getting creative with the magic of mud and your imagination!
    We’ll be taking the work out of artwork this summer with fun and creative ceramic building
    games, as well as group and individual projects. The kids will do what they do best; learn
    through play, exploring what they can do with clay! • Jodi Miller

    Mixed-Media Studio Art
    Using an expressive approach we will work from life and our imaginations so get ready to jump
    in and try some new techniques!
    Draw, paint, print, cut, glue, and collage! We will have fun making unique works of art and being
    inspired by each other.
    Each camper will hand-make an art journal to take home, too! • Shelly Korte

    Paid Student Interns (ages 15-18 ) will help in classes.
